Greg is a partner and works in the Firm’s transactional and real estate practice group. His background and focus are in commercial real estate, and he leads the team’s title insurance division.
Greg hails from Lakeland, Florida, and is a graduate of the University of Florida where he dual majored in Finance and Risk & Insurance Management. After completing his undergraduate studies, he entered the real estate industry as a residential and commercial real estate appraiser, conducting hundreds of real estate valuations before returning to law school.
After graduating from the Florida State University College of Law, Greg worked in private practice for twelve years, handling business and real estate litigation and transactional matters before joining the Firm, where he focuses exclusively on dealership buy-sell transactions and related real estate matters. Greg’s experience as a real estate attorney includes extensive contract drafting and negotiation, lease negotiations, title insurance law, foreclosure litigation, bankruptcy, and eminent domain law.
Greg utilizes this experience to provide a unique combination of knowledge, skills, and insight, assisting auto dealership operators, motorcycle, powersports and RV dealers, developers and investors with the strategic acquisition, leasing, development, and disposition of commercial facilities, investment properties, and vacant land. During his free time, Greg enjoys spending time with his young family, conversational Spanish, guitar, fishing and outdoor activities.
Representative Experience
- Member of the Firm’s transaction team that represented clients in the acquisition and sale of franchised businesses in the automotive, motorsports and powersports, implement, and heavy-equipment fields. Over the last six years, the transaction team oversaw of the closings of more than 275 transactions.
- Assists clients with the negotiation and preparation of transactional documents for both asset and real estate transactions, including real estate purchase agreements, lease agreements, option agreements, asset purchase agreements.
- Regularly provides legal support and analysis in connection with real estate due diligence, including survey, title, environmental, and property condition matters.
- Provides legal support in connection with complex title review matters, and writes title insurance throughout the entire state of Florida.
- Advises clients and assists in loan document review and negotiation.
