2024 Transaction Update

Bass Sox Mercer closed 60 transactions in 2024. Those transactions took place in 23 different states, covered 57 linemakes, and involved 74 rooftops.

The closed transactions involved dealerships located in Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. We are currently working on transactions in 18 different states, including several states not listed above. 

The closings involved the following brands: Acura, Bayliner, BMW (motorcycles), BMW (vehicle), Buick, Cadillac, Can-Am, Carolina Skiff, CFMoto, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ducati, Fiat, Ford, GasGas, Genesis, GMC, Godfrey, Hammerhead Off-Road, Harley-Davidson, Honda Power Equipment, Honda (powersports), Honda (vehicles), Hurricane, Hyundai, Isuzu, Jeep, Karavan, Kawasaki, Kayo, Key West, Kia, KTM, Lynx, Mercury, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Indian, Peterbilt, Polaris Off-Road, Ram, Regal, Royal Enfield, Ryker, Scarab, Sea-Doo, Ski-Doo, Slingshot, Subaru, Suzuki (marine), Triumph, Toyota, Volkswagen, Yamaha (marine), and Yamaha (powersports).

The buy-sell market in 2024 was very active. The number of closings was commensurate with the numbers from 2022 and 2023, although our deal activity was much higher. We expect 2025 to be another active year, and we have heard the same sentiment from many brokers and clients.
