BSM Welcomes Attorneys Danielle Roth and Jeremiah Hawkes to the Firm
We are pleased to have Danielle Roth join the Firm in our franchise and litigation area. Ms. Roth was previously Assistant General Counsel for the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles as well as a Committee Attorney for the Florida House of Representatives.
Ms. Roth will be working with our motor vehicle dealer clients on franchise issues including terminations, add point protests, facility and incentive program disputes, warranty reimbursement matters as well as licensing and regulatory issues before the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
BSM is also pleased to have Jeremiah Hawkes join the Firm in our franchise and litigation area. Mr. Hawkes has extensive experience handling litigation before both juries and judges at all levels of the court system. Mr. Hawkes served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Second Judicial Circuit prosecuting criminal cases and then worked as General Counsel for Speaker of the House Marco Rubio. While there, he worked on a variety of constitutional issues and policy matters. Mr. Hawkes then served as General Counsel and Bureau Chief of the Management Services Bureau. During this time, he spent two years as the president of the Florida Association of Police Attorneys. Most recently, Mr. Hawkes served as General Counsel for the Florida Senate during the terms of President Bill Galvano and President Wilton Simpson. During this time, he argued on behalf of the Senate before the Florida Supreme Court and in various Federal Courts.
Mr. Hawkes will be working with our motor vehicle dealer clients on franchise issues including terminations, add point protests, facility and incentive program disputes, warranty reimbursement matters as well as assisting our dealer association clients with franchise law revisions and challenges to those franchise laws.
